March 2018
Bibliothèque des Riches Claires is a part of a cultural centre named Les Riches-Claires for film, dance and theater. The site is central but the building is anonymous and not very visible. In Brussels with about 85 percent of the population speaking French the profile of this institution is explicitly French. The library has a large book collection for adults and children, but no other forms of media. The content of collection highlights the French literature tradition and culture. The library offers a rich literature program. There are fees for services for adults but the use of wifi is free for all visitors. The adult, children and computer sections have different opening hours. There is not accessibility for disabled to all parts of the premises. The library would need more space for the collections and visitors. TWO stars: Acceptable.
