Windsor Library

  • September 2025

Windsor Library is one of the public libraries within the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead, which also encompasses the towns of Eton and Ascot. The area is highly touristic, with Windsor Castle serving as its main attraction. The library is centrally located, though housed in a discreet building adjacent to a park and courtyard. The facility features two entrances, allowing good access, and operates on all weekdays.  While there are no printed newspapers or magazines, the library offers a comprehensive digital collection, including e-books, e-audiobooks, and e-newspapers. Borrowing DVDs and physical audiobooks incurs a small fee. Use of public computers is limited to two hours per day. This is a library that values quiet and calm. Situated amid a bustling tourist town, it provides visitors with a rare opportunity for peace and relaxation—if they manage to find their way to it. THREE stars: Good
