Vallentuna bibliotek, Vallentuna

  • October 2017

The municipality of Vallentuna, northeast of Stockholm, has about 33 000 inhabitants. It is a rural town. The library is an important part of the cultural centre called Vallentuna kulturhus. It was opened in 2012. The building and its interior are attractive and of high architectural quality. This cultural complex is situated close to other important services. The atmosphere is easygoing and tempting already from the entrance with cafeteria, newspapers and exhibitions. The library is light and airy. With its big windows it is open to  the outside and vice versa. The book collection is up-to-date and miscellaneous and it is well exposed. There are rooms for quiet work and for group work. The customer service is very good. There is a fee to borrow films. FIVE stars: Excellent.
