Falu stadsbibliotek, Falun

Falu stadsbibliotek (Falun Town and County Library) is situated close to the commercial and administrative center and the old town. This library from the late 1960´s is built around a spacious and high hall which together with lighting characterize the interior. The overall atmosphere is magnificent but at the same time nice and comfortable. The general view is open and it is easy to orientate in the premises. The open structure and the dignity of the space cause some problems. The collections are of high quality and many-sided. The library is an important institution in the local society. You can notice this in the collections and the programs. FOUR stars: Very good.
