Bibliothèque Méjanes, Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en- Provence is a city which combines old and new, tradition and innovation, science and industry. The main library, Bibliothèque Méjanes, with its versatile activities, is situated in an earlier tobacco factory. Low buildings, inner courts, unconventional interior solutions create a vivid and warm atmosphere. The library is a part of a bigger complex with other cultural institutions and restaurants. Cité du Livre, Bibliothèque Méjanes, is welcoming and relaxed. Here it is comfortable to spend time and study, but the library is also a nice place for families and children. The library is open only five days a week and use of wifi is limited. There are also many user fees. FOUR stars: Very good.
